…..to Bellevue Square!  This makes me smile BIG.
Spotted this on the main floor of Bellevue Square as I was scurrying through last week!  Couldn’t be more excited about it.  I have been less than pleased with the additions and deletions to the mall in the last year or so. Not sure who is shopping in most of those stores….maybe someone who lives in nearby Clyde Hill or Medina?  However, I will splurge at this shop once its doors are open!

Stripe attack!
Best known for their cotton stripes……

but their solids are pretty darn cute too.

Oh, but the very best is when you can purchase a Splendid treasure at the Nordstrom Rack for a fraction of the price.  Check back regularly….you never know when they will pop up!

the Natives are active!

Monday, July 18th, 2011
Man, I am diggin’ on these new kicks!  Hard to miss in bright red, the littlest feet in our family are sporting some Native (Jefferson) sneaks.  Fashion meets function-in a cross between Chuck Taylor’s and Crocs.  Perfect for little ones in the summer because they are water proof, shock absorbant, anti-microbial, and odor resistant.  And if you live in the NW where many are known to rock socks with sandals, your kids don’t look like fashion victims when they insist on wearing pirate socks!
We played hard this weekend and these little shoes kept up.  Big brother chose black and they are equally as cool.
The Miller shoe is perfect for little girls or the smallest of tot boys.  Check out the three kids styles on the Native shoe website.

deux lux

Deux Lux.  I doubly adore my Deux Lux handbag because my husband gave it to me, unexpectedly, for Christmas 2008.  If you lived in the greater Puget Sound area, you know that husbands who put off shopping until the bitter end, did not fare well.  We were all snowed in and everything was literally shut down.  Lucky for me the local boutique, What to Wear, was open and more than willing to help him out!  I totally dig the off-beat pairing of black satin and black leather.  If you see me out and about, you will see me toting it!

Check out these lovely ladies!  New from Deux Lux….. and so darn unforgettable.

Twiggie Wristlet
Fashion and Function. That is a hot bag!

Ipanema Large Duffle (also comes in medium or small!)
A “mom” only get-away bag.  (Don’t think my boys would ask to borrow this one.)

I had a really hard time deciding on which color I liked best for the duffle.  Visit the Deux Lux website and let me know which one is your favorite.

(P.S.  I hope you know I don’t buy all of what I post on my blog.  I just dream.  Maybe one of you will indulge…)

beach tunes

How great is this speaker case?  With a rugged, rubberized body you can protect any mp3 (which also includes ipod, iphone, DROID, and Blackberry) and play music at the beach, pool or anywhere else your summer takes you.  It connects to your player or phone through the headphone jack.  It is water proof and runs on 3 AAA batteries.  Plus, the Eco Extreme, comes in 6 kick ass colors!

I am thinking the orange or green would look great in my LL Bean beach bag.

Are you you ready for tunes on the go too?  Check out the  Eco Extreme Rugged All Terrain Speaker Case online!

Looking for the perfect color for your summer pedicure?  Look no more!
O.P.I ~ My Chihuahua Bites.

Even on the coolest of June days, it adds a bit of sun. I decided this summer not to pay for one single pedicure.  I sunk $8 for the bottle of polish at my local beauty store and have been painting my own toes.  I got tired of paying $35+ , just to have a crazy boy run a scooter over my foot and chip the paint.

My wonderful friend Jen found the secret to the perfect “at-home paint job.”  One swipe of Seche Vite as the top coat and it looks like a you paid someone else to do it!  My toes are proof.

What you will you do with the money you save from skipping spa pedicures?

the shimmer effect

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

New and great!  Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect sunscreen.  Offered in SPF 20, SPF 40, and After Sun lotion.  The ingenious addition of mica minerals gives this sunscreen a shimmery finish.  Those “magic minerals” evens out and highlights your skin tone (seeming to make those first days of summer a little less painful).  Field tested on Tuesday (when the temp crept above 60), it is also waterproof.  Added bonus…it has the classic tropical coconut scent.  Remember the scent we used to enjoy when we poured on the oil (SPF 0) and baked all day?  Yep, that one! Maybe the best part-you can pick it up at almost ANY local drugstore or even the grocery store!

Add the shimmer and rock it girl!

summer of love

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

With the summer solstice just around the corner, I have found my self dreamin’.  Not California Dreamin’, but dreamin’ of some babies.  If you have a baby, then you know what I am talking about.  Seattle is home to the greatest gift west of the Mississippi. Glassybaby, could single handily, make most girls smile big.   Even one by itself, perks up a shelf, makes a mantle shine, or soothes a day worth of worries.  A simple tea light, a match, and you are good to go!  But a whole grouping of them……

This set, summer of love, would be a total indulgence.  Here’s to dreamin’!

Never been to a glassybaby store?  Put it on your summer to do list.
Live too far away?  glassybaby forever

One for One

This amazing company made a HUGE announcement yesterday.  They are expanding their One for One program to include sunglasses.

For every pair of, ridiculously cute, sunglasses you buy-TOMS will donate medical treatment, prescription glasses, or sight-saving surgery to a patient in need.  This movement is near and dear to my heart. Since Hank started wearing glasses (at age 3) a year ago, I continually think about children who cannot afford eye care or glasses.  Please visit TOMS for more information on this life changing mission.

With that said, I am thinking I may need this pair!  The Classic 201 in Tortoise.

Which pair will you buy?  Remember One for One!

Where is June?
