5 PRODUCTS FOR 5 MINUTE MAKE-UP

5 minute makeup | Where is June?

Every day makeup in 5 minutes or less.  That has been my goal all summer.  Simple and clean.

It only takes 5 products:

1. Start with Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.  I have used this for years.  I occasionally will try something else and I always find my way back to this trusted staple.  It is lightweight with the perfect amount of minimal coverage.  I wear the color sand.

2.  A new darling in my make up bag is Cloud Paint by Glossier.  It is the best cream blush I have ever used.  I am now a forever addict.  This summer I have been using Dusk.  {Watch all the videos to help you pick the best shade.}

3.  Play up your natural brows by using Boy Brow also by Glossier.  Replace your brow gel with this.  The tiny wand allows for great precision and the color is great.  I use brown.

4.  Lastly curl your lashes, apply primer, and mascara.

That’s it.  In the winter I will have to add in concealer for my very dark under eye circles, but hope to keep the rest the same.

Just curious: How many make up products do you use everyday?

PS: If I want a little extra pop, I use this favorite matte lip balm.

FEWER,BETTER : KAMM PANTS

kamm pants

In the spirit of buying fewer but better things, I had to post about these pants.  I swear these #kammpants pop up on my Instagram feed multiple times a day.  Every girl looks effortlessly cool and relaxed while wearing them.  After a little poking around, I found they are the Sailor Pant by Jesse Kamm.  At $395 they are certainly not inexpensive, but I could seeing wearing them for years and years.  The come in many colors, but the chambray is pretty amazing.  I love they are made in Los Angeles by an independent designer.  I’m totally into them and will add them to my fall wish list.

Want to try them on and live in the Pacific Northwest?

FEWER, BETTER: CUYANA

Cuyana | Where is June?

I have placed myself on a shopping hiatus.  At {almost} 43, I am sort of stuck stylistically.  First, let me reassure you, I don’t prescribe to any notion of “dressing your age”.  Women absolutely don’t need to be told what they can and can’t wear.  For me, it’s more a change in my attitude towards clothes and fashion.  My life is quite simple and I don’t need a separate work wardrobe.  Other than workout gear and casual apparel {jeans and tee}, I’m still finding my way.  So, instead of buying more of the same and creating more clothing waste, I am just taking a break for a while.

The idea of Fewer, Better is a great principal.  It is the philosophy behind the brand Cuyana.  “We believe in style over trends, in quality over quantity, in loving your closet. We believe that fewer, better things lead to a fuller, better life.”  Oh my gosh, YES!  Less stuff.  Their design aesthetic is clean, simple lines and tailored silhouettes.

I had never purchased from their site, but was recently gifted this amazing leather pouch.  It is the perfect color blush and made from soft, supple leather.  I have used it as a clutch on a night out and in my carry-on to hold my headphones and Kindle.  I can tell that it is going to last and it is beautiful to carry.  I will be happy to support this brand in the future.  Investing in fewer, quality pieces is a step in the right direction.

PS:// I love their Lean Closet movement and I am putting this weekender bag on my birthday wish list.
