ADDING INTEREST TO A BEDSIDE TABLE

My bedroom needs some major TLC.  The only thing we have purchased for our room in the 10 years we have lived in our home is our mattress and box spring.  I hesitate to do much because we know we want to remodel {in a huge way}!  However, the bedroom will be the last thing tackled on our long list of updates, so I’m thinking I should do a few little things that will make me like our room a bit more.

Our nightstands are maybe the easiest items to start with.  The current nightstands are one of the first purchases we ever made together, before we were married, in 1998.  Heavy, reclaimed pine with weathered hinges. Can you picture them?  I want to update them with simpler lines that fit our current style.  The nightstand with a single drawer seems like the perfect piece.  A place to stash lotion, headphones, and a lint roller-with plenty of space for a side lamp and books.  To add interest, I would swap the hardware that comes with the piece with a unique cabinet knob.  It is an easy and inexpensive way to make a statement.

Here are a few pairings that I am crushing on:
{from top}

1//  Color blocked nightstand with Geode knob.

2//  Mixed material nightstand with Simple black knob.

3// Metal nightstand and Cement knob.

4//  Mid-Century nightstand with Marble/Wood knob.

Which is your favorite?
